Crazy game. Both teams decided they would not play D.

Part of me wonders if that penalty on Jaskin was called to send a message to stay away from the tender as Calgary had no backup on the bench. Have not actually seen the play, listened to the game on the radio so can't attest to how bad of a call it was.

That's just it. It wasn't called on Jaskin. Jaskin was in the box only because he served the 2nd minor on Sundqvist.

The only goal I personally am faulting Allen for is the Versteeg goal. The others were products of very poor play in front of him.

And that first goal, the puck was on edge, and the slap shot was right at the circles in the center of the ice. It basically was a sling shot, really hard to gauge off the stick and came much harder than expected for a puck on edge. Usually that is going to knuckle.

Watch it again. One reason I'm not a huge fan of the sticks. Some of the shots that come off them are not possible with traditional sticks. Way harder, less ability to judge where it's going.

People wanting less equipment on the goalies but harder and no idea where the puck is going.....no thank you.

Most the of the goals were representative of the things he struggles with pretty consistently - puck tracking from shots from the top of the circle and out and over committing early.

The softball rebound off his chest was really bad too. That puck needs to be corralled.
